Stop writing minutes. Get the action register — decisions, owners, deadlines, and every governance gap flagged.
Briefly iQ turns transcripts, recordings and notes into executive summaries, decisions, actions with owners and deadlines, risks — and tells you what's still unresolved. On your machine, with the AI provider you choose.
Every meeting produces commitments — and someone has to turn a messy transcript into something executives will actually read.
Minutes eat your evenings
Writing structured, board-ready minutes from an hour-long call takes another 30–90 minutes — multiplied by every meeting, every week.
Uncontrolled AI workflows create confidentiality risk
Pasting confidential transcripts into random cloud SaaS tools violates most corporate and client confidentiality policies.
Notes are not governance
Transcription tools answer “what was said?” — not what was agreed, who owns what, what remains unresolved, and what happens next.
Governance intelligence
Every other tool answers “what was said.” Briefly iQ answers “what was agreed.”
It reads the meeting like an operator: who owns what, by when, what was decided, what is still open — and where the governance gaps are, with recommendations.
− What goes in
A raw transcript: an hour of crosstalk, half-finished sentences, decisions made in passing, and commitments nobody wrote down.
An action register with owners and deadlines · a decision log · risks and dependencies · open questions — and the gaps flagged: actions without owners, decisions without dates, unresolved items, each with a recommendation. Closed by a meeting quality assessment.
Briefly iQ is a local Windows application. We operate no servers, host no content, and never see your data. Your transcripts flow only where you direct them.

What you get
An AI Meeting Analyst — Not a note-taker.
Purpose-built for professionals who turn conversations into commitments. Briefly iQ is an AI Meeting Analyst — not another note-taking app. It identifies commitments, ownership, risk and unresolved gaps, then turns them into outputs ready to review and deliver.
PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE, NOT BY POLICY
Your meetings never leave your computer.
Bring your own key
Runs locally with your own AI keys. Or fully offline with Ollama. Nothing is uploaded, ever.
Every hour of meetings costs another 30–90 minutes of writing. Briefly iQ gives that time back — every meeting, every week.
− A normal week without it
8–12 meetings a week. Board-ready minutes at 30–90 minutes each: 5–15 hours of writing — evenings included. At professional rates, that is hundreds of euros of billable time spent on formatting, not thinking. Curious to calculate your own business case?
+ The same week with Briefly iQ
Transcript in — executive-ready output out: summaries, decisions, actions, risks, in minutes. At €9 a month, a single saved hour covers months of the license. Everything after that first hour is simply your time back.
Pricing & Download
One license. Everything included.
Pay for scale, not for features
Briefly iQ runs on your computer, with your own AI keys. We never see your recordings, your transcripts or your documents — so there is nothing for us to meter.
Every plan includes every feature. Including the free one.
No locked templates, no watermark, no reduced quality, no “upgrade to export”. The free plan is the whole product, capped at four new meetings a month. Paid plans remove the cap and add devices and seats — nothing else. Most pricing pages hide the good features behind the expensive plan. This one does not, so the comparison is short.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere, unless you send it. Briefly iQ stores everything locally on your device. When you generate output with a cloud AI provider, your content goes directly from your machine to that provider using your own API key — we are never in the middle. With Ollama, nothing leaves your machine at all.
Do I need my own AI subscription?
You bring your own API key for a cloud provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, Mistral) and pay that provider directly for usage — typically cents per meeting. Or you run Ollama locally, free of per-use costs.
Which platforms are supported?
Briefly iQ is a Windows desktop application. Transcripts can come from any source — Teams, Zoom, Meet exports, or your own notes.
Which languages does Briefly iQ speak?
The interface ships in 15 languages, voice recordings are transcribed in 50+ languages, and you can paste text in any language. Generated output is available in 40+ languages: 🇬🇧 English · 🇧🇬 Bulgarian · 🇩🇪 German · 🇫🇷 French · 🇪🇸 Spanish · 🇮🇹 Italian · 🇵🇹 Portuguese · 🇳🇱 Dutch · 🇵🇱 Polish · 🇷🇴 Romanian · 🇬🇷 Greek · 🇹🇷 Turkish · 🇨🇿 Czech · 🇸🇰 Slovak · 🇭🇺 Hungarian · 🇭🇷 Croatian · 🇷🇸 Serbian · 🇸🇮 Slovenian · 🇺🇦 Ukrainian · 🇷🇺 Russian · 🇩🇰 Danish · 🇸🇪 Swedish · 🇳🇴 Norwegian · 🇫🇮 Finnish · 🇪🇪 Estonian · 🇱🇻 Latvian · 🇱🇹 Lithuanian · 🇸🇦 Arabic · 🇮🇱 Hebrew · 🇮🇳 Hindi · 🇨🇳 Chinese · 🇯🇵 Japanese · 🇰🇷 Korean · 🇻🇳 Vietnamese · 🇹🇭 Thai · 🇮🇩 Indonesian · 🇲🇾 Malay · 🇵🇭 Filipino · 🇰🇪 Swahili · 🇿🇦 Afrikaans
And yes — you can mix freely: an English meeting can produce German minutes.
What state is the product in?
Briefly iQ for Windows is a commercial product, available today. There is a free plan with no time limit and no card, and two paid plans. The macOS build is in development — its waitlist gets first access when it ships.
Is this part of something bigger?
Yes — Briefly iQ is the first product in the iQ ecosystem by iQ Suite Labs. Orchestration iQ and PMO iQ are next. Meet the family
Does Briefly iQ record my meetings?
No. Briefly iQ does not join, listen to, or record meetings. It works on what you already have: a transcript, your notes, or an audio / video file you choose to load. That is a deliberate design choice — nothing is captured without your action, and nothing ever leaves your machine unless you send it.
Will my company's IT approve it?
Briefly iQ is designed to pass exactly that review: a local desktop application with no servers of ours, no content hosting and no data collection. Your data goes only to the AI provider you configure, under your own key — or nowhere at all in fully local Ollama mode. The free plan needs no account at all; paid plans use a licence from our payment provider, which handles billing only. The installer is digitally code-signed. If your IT team has questions, point them to our Privacy Policy — it is short because there is genuinely nothing collected about what you do in the app.
The app sends one anonymous message a month containing a random identifier, the plan and the version number — nothing else, and never your IP address.
What counts as one meeting?
One thing you bring in: a recording, an audio or video file, an uploaded document or a pasted transcript. After that, run it through as many templates as you want, regenerate it, restyle it, export it in every format and send the email draft — all of that is still the same meeting. Nothing is counted twice, and a failed run never counts at all.
Why is there no free trial for Single Pro?
Because the free plan is better than a trial. A trial gives you everything for fourteen days; the free plan gives you everything forever, four meetings at a time. If you upgrade and change your mind, there is a 14-day money-back guarantee. Team Pro does have a 14-day trial, because a team needs several people testing at once.
Do I need to pay for AI on top of this?
You use your own AI provider account and your own key, so you pay that provider directly at their rates — usually cents per meeting. Or run Ollama locally and pay nothing at all. We do not resell AI capacity, mark it up or meter it, which is why our prices are flat instead of per minute or per seat-hour.
What happens to my work if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted and nothing is locked. Your entire archive, your templates and your settings stay exactly where they are on your machine, and you can export all of it at any time. That applies to a cancelled subscription and to a team seat that gets reassigned.
Can our admin see what the team writes?
No. A Team Pro admin manages seats, shared templates and the company AI key, and can see which seat is taken by whom and when it was last used. Meeting records are private to each person, like a personal mailbox. Admins never see content, titles or how much anyone produced.
How do team prices work?
You pick the number of seats and everyone is billed at the same rate — the lowest one your team size qualifies for. There is no blended calculation: at 12 seats all 12 are €6.89, not nine at one rate and three at another.

Adding seats later is charged only for the days left in your billing period, at whatever rate your new total qualifies for. Seats you have already paid for keep their current rate until the period ends — we don't backdate. At your next renewal the whole team moves to the rate your size qualifies for.
Seats are licences, not people. If someone leaves, reassign their seat to a colleague at no extra cost.
How do I cancel, and what if I change my mind after paying?
Cancel from the Subscription section in the app — no email, no support ticket, no hunting for a link. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep everything you have paid for until the end of the period you are in. If you decide within 14 days of a first payment that it isn't for you, write to us and we refund it in full. After a subscription ends, the app falls back to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted and nothing is locked: your archive, your templates and your settings stay on your machine, and you can export all of it at any time. Four new meetings a month keeps working for as long as you want it to.
(Team Pro does have a 14-day trial, so a few colleagues can evaluate together. Cancel before it ends and nothing is charged.)
How do I turn a Microsoft Teams transcript into meeting minutes?
Download the transcript from MS Teams (Recap → Transcript → Download as .docx or .vtt), open Briefly iQ and drop the file in. In one pass it produces an executive summary, the decisions taken, an action register with owners and deadlines, and the open risks. Nothing leaves your machine except the text you send to the AI provider you configured with your own key; there is no bot in the meeting and no recording.
Can AI meeting minutes work without a recording bot joining the call?
Yes. Briefly iQ works from the transcript after the meeting, not from a bot inside it. That matters in two situations: client or board meetings where an unknown participant is not acceptable, and organizations whose policy forbids third-party recorders. You keep the transcript your meeting platform already produces and process it afterwards.
Is there a private or offline way to generate meeting summaries?
Briefly iQ runs on your own computer and stores every summary in a local archive you control. The only network call is to the AI provider you choose, under your own API key — and with a local model (Ollama) it can run fully offline. There is no iQ Suite Labs server holding your transcripts or minutes.
How do I extract decisions, action items and owners from a transcript?
That is the whole point of the "analyst" approach. Briefly iQ does not summarize what was said, it structures what was agreed. The output separates decisions (what was settled), actions (who does what, by when), open questions and risks — the four things a PMO actually needs after a meeting. Every item can be edited before you export or send it.
Can I get meeting minutes as a Word or PDF document and e-mail them straight away?
Yes. Briefly iQ exports the minutes as DOCX and PDF in a layout you can send to a client without reformatting, and prepares a ready e-mail draft in Outlook with the summary in the body — one step from "meeting ended" to "minutes sent".
Which AI models can I use, and do I need my own subscription?
You bring your own key: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Groq or a local Ollama model. Briefly iQ never resells AI capacity, so the price of the app does not depend on how many meetings you process, and your content goes only to the provider you chose — or to no cloud at all with a local model.
How do I write minutes for a steering committee meeting?
A steering committee needs four things on one page: decisions with their rationale, actions with owners and dates, risks escalated or accepted, and open points carried to the next meeting. Briefly iQ produces exactly that structure from the transcript, so the minute-taker's job becomes reviewing and adjusting, not writing from scratch — usually minutes within a few minutes of the meeting closing.
What is the difference between an AI note-taker and an AI meeting analyst?
A note-taker records and condenses — you get a shorter version of the conversation. An analyst answers the operational questions: what was agreed, who owns what, what is still unresolved, what happens next. Briefly iQ is built as the second kind; the transcript is the input, a decision-ready register is the output.
Does Briefly iQ work with transcripts from Zoom, Google Meet or Webex?
Yes — it works from the transcript file, so any platform that lets you download one (.docx, .vtt, .txt) is supported. The meeting platform does not matter; the text does.
What does Briefly iQ cost, and what is free?
The Free plan is free forever and includes every feature, with a cap of 4 new meetings per month. Single Pro removes the cap; Team Pro adds seats at a flat per-seat rate with no blended tiers. Every plan has the same features — you pay for scale, not for capability. Details and current prices are on the pricing section of this page.
